Academic Calendar

The year.
In four terms.

The university operates on a four-term rhythm. Fall and spring host the cohorts. Summer carries intensives, electives, and CME open enrollment. Each term's full schedule publishes ninety days in advance.

Fall 2026

Inaugural term.

August 25 through December 12. The first CHU 101 lecture, the first PO 101 lecture, the first MSCH and PhD cohorts. Reading week October 19. Mid-term recess November 24-28. Term-end review December 8-12.

First day of instruction. Inaugural CHU 101 lecture in Destin.
Oct 19
Reading week
No classes. Library extended hours. Faculty office hours.
Nov 24-28
Recess
Thanksgiving recess. Residential cohort housing remains open.
Dec 12
Term ends
Final exams complete. Transcripts issued by Dec 22.

Spring 2027

Advanced term.

January 19 through May 7. Advanced 300-level courses open. Spring cohort entrants begin CH-CP. Symposium March 2 (open to alumni and the public). Reading week March 22.

Spring cohort first day. Advanced courses in every school.
Mar 2
Symposium
Annual research symposium. Open lectures, poster session.
Mar 22
Reading week
Mid-term recess. No classes.
May 7
Term ends
Final defenses for MSCH thesis candidates.

Summer 2027

Intensives.

June 15 through August 7. Compressed elective courses. Field practicum at partner clinics. CME open enrollment for working clinicians. Faculty research sabbaticals begin.

Intensives begin. Two- and four-week course blocks.
Jul 6-31
Field practicum
Clinical rotations at partner clinics. CH-CP candidates eligible.
Aug 7
Term ends
Intensives close. CME credit issued.

Fall 2027

Cohort II.

August 24 through December 11. Cohort II opens with expanded enrollment based on Cohort I retention. First MSCH thesis defenses. Annual faculty conference November 5-7.

MSCH defenses
First MSCH thesis defenses (Cohort I two-year track).
Nov 5-7
Faculty conference
Closed faculty meetings. Public lectures Nov 6.

Final exams. Transcripts issued by Dec 22.

Holidays

Days the university is closed.

Conceptual Health University observes federal holidays plus Veterans Day, Indigenous Peoples Day, Thanksgiving, and a winter recess from December 23 through January 5.
