Faculty
The school is.
The faculty makes it.
A young university has the privilege of building its faculty deliberately. We are appointing founding chairs, named professorships, and a roster of adjuncts and visiting scholars who already work at the intersection of medicine and meaning.
Founding chairs
Nine appointments.
One founding chair per school, plus the founding chair of the College of Conceptual Mastery. Each chair is a tenured appointment with a five-year initial term and a research stipend. We expect to fill these from working clinicians, research scientists, and contemplative-tradition scholars across the eight axes.
Named professorships
Endowed seats.
Named chairs are endowed by founding donors and remain in perpetuity. The first such seat is the Conceptual Health Master Chair in the College of Conceptual Mastery. Subsequent seats will be named by school, by axis, or by donor convention.
Adjuncts
Practitioners who teach.
Adjunct faculty are working clinicians, researchers, and practitioners who carry teaching loads alongside their primary practice. They bring the operating rhythms of real clinics into the classroom. Adjunct openings are continuous; expressions of interest are reviewed quarterly.
Visiting scholars
Sabbatical seats.
Each school hosts visiting scholars on one-, three-, or six-month appointments. Scholars give a public lecture, sit on a doctoral committee, or co-author a working paper. The Library publishes the lecture archive.
Academic ethics
How we hire.
Open searches. Public job descriptions. Demographic transparency in finalist pools. No nepotism between corporate and academic appointments. The university is structurally independent of the Conceptual Health corporate parent at the personnel-decision layer.
